In a media 1st, Vizeum Ireland and 20th Century Fox took to Snapchat and Instagram to build excitement around the movie release of Paper Towns. It was vital to expand the number of Facebook fans, with this it was decided the best option would be to run a like ad campaign for Facebook prior to launching the Snapchat campaign. Numbers grew rapidly, increasing to almost 11,000.
The Snapchat account itself has earned over 750 followers. Stories specifically asking the users to interact provided the highest engagement results.
Another key element of this campaign was a partnership with two Instagram influencers: Melanie Murphy and So Sue Me. The influencers pushed out content on their own Instagram accounts as well as their Snapchat accounts in order to create a buzz around Paper Towns.
